According to Eric Ries&#039; book, Lean Startup, he defines it as:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>A structured test designed to test a new basic hypothesis about the product, strategy, and growth engine.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Now, let&#039;s see the ten types of pivot that Eric Ries proposes in the mentioned book (you can buy it in the following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/-\/es\/Eric-Ries-ebook\/dp\/B0079MWRIK\">link<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>When I got to the catalog of pivots in the book, the concept of pivoting was much clearer to me and why the author&#039;s emphasis on indicating that it goes beyond a change.<\/p>\n<p>In June of this year (2020), due to the COVID-19 quarantine, many startups had to pivot to remain profitable. At first, changes scare us because they launch us into new territory.
