But first, what is pivoting? According to Eric Ries' book, Lean Startup, he defines it as:<\/p>\n

When I got to the catalog of pivots in the book, the concept of pivoting was much clearer to me and why the author's emphasis on indicating that it goes beyond a change.<\/p>\n

In June of this year (2020), due to the COVID-19 quarantine, many startups had to pivot to remain profitable. At first, changes scare us because they launch us into new territory.
