I like the moment when this question arrives and the team begins the adventure.
But first, what is pivoting? According to Eric Ries' book, Lean Startup, he defines it as:
A structured test designed to test a new basic hypothesis about the product, strategy, and growth engine.

When I got to the catalog of pivots in the book, the concept of pivoting was much clearer to me and why the author's emphasis on indicating that it goes beyond a change.
In June of this year (2020), due to the COVID-19 quarantine, many startups had to pivot to remain profitable. At first, changes scare us because they launch us into new territory. However, if we see learning from both “successes” and “failures”, we realize that both words are opposite degrees of the same idea and we decide what degree to give it.
