Three out of 4 executives consider that the changes in the wake of COVID-19 would be a good opportunity to grow, according to a McKinsey survey. However, less than 30 percent of those executives feel confident that they are prepared to tackle the changes. Being innovation the key piece to grow.
But, we cannot try to innovate without first being creative. So what differentiates them? According to IDEO U, creativity is the ability to look beyond the obvious: to transcend traditional ways of seeing the world to create something new. Whereas, innovation is the ability to generate and execute new, incremental, evolutionary, or revolutionary ideas, and it begins with creativity.

According to the “Future of Jobs” study carried out by the World Economic Forum In 2015, creativity was the 10th most in-demand soft skill. In 2020, he ranked 🔥third place🔥.
Despite being in third place, the stereotype of creativity is still perceived as the exclusive ability of genius artists who run from one place to another and who, in a flash of creativity, have very original ideas. Now is the time to tear down those concepts.
Many of us have thought: But... I can't think of anything creative. Situation, which happens even to the "most creative", calm down! There are many methods that I will be touching on in various posts on creativity to surf these situations. Many of the original ideas are actually a mixture of other ideas. Clearly, the idea is not to copy, but to inspire you, internalize and that you like the result.
Let's see it with an example, let's imagine that we are in a consultancy and we have to prepare a presentation to a demanding client. We have a lot of amazing fonts from similar work previously done on the same subject, and one team member goes the uncreative way: picks one of all the fonts, copies it, pastes it, and changes a couple of colors (like so look different 😒). The creative path is very different: it starts by looking at each source to seek inspiration (not even in the smallest detail, the deliverables have a deadline). Then, the sources are internalized to understand the creators of each one and be able to get the best out of it and, with our experience, know what really applies to said consultancy. Finally, make the presentation that you would like to have been given if you were the client, 💥💥⚡️ add value to your creative work.
